Can I have Mercari items delivered to my hotel in Japan? Yes. Mercari Japan doesn’t accept overseas cards or accounts, and most proxy services ship only abroad. We buy the item for you and deliver it to your hotel’s front desk during your stay.
How hotel delivery works
- Send us the item links, your hotel name and address, the name on your reservation (as on your passport), and your check-in and check-out dates.
- Please ask your hotel whether they will accept a parcel for you. Most hotels do.
- We buy the item. The seller ships it to our Ginza desk, where we pack it with any other items you ordered. If you chose Mercari authentication, the item can be delivered straight from the authentication centre to your hotel.
- We ship it by Yamato or Japan Post to arrive between your check-in date and the day before check-out.
- The front desk signs for it and hands it to you.
Fee
A fixed delivery charge based on the size of the parcel, from ¥810 for small flat items and ¥1,760 for a size 60 parcel. Items going to the same hotel are packed together, so you pay one delivery charge. See all prices.
Things to know
- Delivery is complete when the hotel front desk signs for the parcel.
- We cannot deliver to Airbnb or other places without a front desk. Please choose airport pickup or Ginza pickup instead.
- Many hotels will not hold parcels that arrive after you check out. If a hotel refuses the parcel, you pay the return shipping and the cost of re-delivery.
- Please order at least 10 days before your check-in date.
